Waxing is a fantastic method to remove hair and can last up to two to six weeks. Ever wanted to try making your once wax at home? Here is a sugaring wax recipe that is simple to make and uses common ingredients you probably already have at home.
Ingredients
2 cups of raw sugar
¼ cup of lemon juice (remove seeds)
¼ of water
Equipment
Cooking thermometer
Saucepan
Cotton strips for waxing
Waxing spatula
Container or jar
Instructions
Once you see bubbles forming, use the thermometer to measure the heat until it reaches 250 F. Once it reaches this temperature, take the saucepan off the heat and pour it into a container or jar. Let the mixture cool down.
Use the spatula to spread the wax by the direction of hair growth.
Press the cotton strip onto the wax, apply and rub with pressure, then pull against the direction of hair growth.
To help with the pain use your palm to apply pressure on the freshly waxed area.
Wash off any residue with warm water and fragrance-free soap.
