Why You Should Use Night Creams

Applying night cream when you go to bed can benefit and improve your skin whilst you’re sleeping. The main difference between your regular daily moisturiser and a night cream is that most night creams have special added ingredients such as vitamins and anti-ageing properties. Night creams tend to be thicker and intense.

Also during the night your skin renewal is more active, night creams are designed to make the most of these hours. Using a night cream will give your skin the opportunity to repair from daily skin damaged which is usually caused by pollution, make up and the sun.

So Who Should Use Night Creams?

While very young skins generally do not need to use night creams, the extra moisturising and nourishing properties of night creams can benefit most people. Night creams work particularly well on dry and very dry skin. You can choose different formulations if you find richer formulations to heavy for your skin, there are lighter alternatives that contain the same special ingredients. Choose a formulation based on your skin type, it is important that your skin should not feel overloaded.

Night Cream Tips

Dab a small amount of night cream in the palm of your hands, then gently rub your hands together. The heat will liquefy the cream so it is more easily absorbed as you massage it into your skin.

By applying night cream before you go to bed, when you wake up your complexion will seem smoother and softer. To boost the effects of nighter cream, apply your cream to slightly damp skin to seal in the extra moisture.
